Finally....
So, we have now been in our house for about 6 months now! I know I owe pictures big time. I wish I had before pictures of our house, because we made some awesome improvements! We are so happy with our home! We are SO fortunate to have been able to get into a house this past summer! The pics I am about to show are just of the main living area (the other 2 bedrooms arent painted or decorated and my room is a mess!) When we first bought the house, it was just painted white with one tan wall. We decided to paint the interior of the house a light grey with a darker grey accent wall. We had shutters installed in the main living area to finish it off nicely! We figured since we had done ALL of the painting ourselves we would treat ourselves to some shutters for the main room. I made the curtains in the kitchen, bought the green ones for the dining area. We purchased some new furniture that we are SO happy with which tied things together nicely! We still have some little details to work on, but we are happy with the look so far! We will be bringing some colour in with pillows etc! I am going to bring in some yellow and an orangey coral to go along with the green that I've incorportated a bit! Enjoy!

A House Divided...
My parents have been visiting for the last month. Making it 3 Canadians to 1 American in the house. We have all enjoyed watching the Olympics pretty much on a nightly basis. Well as many of you know, it was the BIG game yesterday afternoon! I leaned over to Steve and I'm like so who are you cheering for? (I actually said voting....I don't know why I always say that, but whatever.) He responded of course to team USA. So as soon as they scored the second goal, bringing it to a tie into overtime, he leans over and cheers all up in my face! I am bitter and tell him that is SO rude. Well as we know the game was won by the Canadians, with Sidney Crosby making the final shot. I screamed with happiness, totally cheered in his face, sang We Are the Champions for a long while and was completely gloating. Hypocritical...yes...but I was SO happy! He called me out on it, but I still couldn't seem to wipe away the smile from my face! :) While we talked about the game over dinner, my dad seemed to forget the FIRST comment he said when we won: Leans over to me: "I'm so happy I'm going to cry! You wanna cry with me? (tearing up)" I responded: "I'm not going to cry, but you can cry." Anyway, here's to a GREAT game played by both teams! Congrats team USA! And a special congrats to team CANADA!!!
